We offer a variety of miscellaneous services - some of which are detailed below.

The important thing to remember is that if it is not mentioned here, that doesn't mean we will not do it for you - just ask!

Delivery Acceptance

Do you have an item being delivered on a certain day but you cannot get time off work to accept it?

Is a BT engineer coming to install a new phone line? The Sky man coming to install a new satellite dish? The gas man coming to service your boiler?

The best they can do is give you a four hour slot on a certain day when they will arrive but you cannot justify taking a whole day off work to sit in and wait for them, never mind the possibility that they may not even turn up!

Let us do it for you.

While we are there we will busy ourselves cleaning your home at no extra cost.

Tradesmen Watching

Are you planning some home improvements? Don't like the idea of tradesmen in your house when you are at work?

Everyone has heard stories of things going missing when the builders are left alone, or nosey plumbers looking through drawers they should not even be opening, or just a company charging you by the hour and spending their time drinking tea and chatting when you are not around.

Why not use our tradesmen watching service. Book a clean and we will keep an eye on builders, plumbers etc. while we are there.

Employ us to watch tradesmen for the duration and we will clean the house at no extra cost.

House Sitting

If you are going away for a few days, or a week or a fortnight, do you worry what is happening at home? Let us look after your home while you are gone. We can make regular visits to make sure everything is alright, pick up your mail, deal with any emergencies and deter would be thieves.

Why not combine this with our other services? We will feed your cat, feed and walk your dog and clean the house ready for your return. We can stock up the refrigerator and cupboards so you don't have to worry about it and can have a cup of tea when you get home instead of heading off for groceries.

Pick Ups

We can pick up your prescriptions, your dry cleaning, your undelivered parcels, pick up and drop off hired clothing, pretty much anything - just ask!

High Street Shopping

Do you want something picking up from a high street store but can't find the time? Let us do it for you.

A lot of high street stores will allow you to reserve items online or by a phone call - but they will then try and charge you somewhere in the region of £15-£20 to deliver it to your home.

As long as you live in the central Dunfermline area, we will do it for £5!

For other areas the price will vary but we believe it will still be cheaper than the alternative.

Even if you cannot reserve an item online or by phone - tell us what you want and we will get it for you.

We could even get the item to your home and unpack and set it up for you.

E.G. Buying a new stereo? We will go and pick it up, bring it to your home, unpack it, make sure it is in perfect, working condition then set it up where you would like it. Then we will clean the house!

Grocery Shopping

We all know Tesco and Asda now offer online home delivery services and these are great for the most part, but there are problems associated with them.

We know from personal experience that there is no room for choice in certain areas. You will get the first pack of, for example, bacon they pick up - not the pack you would choose yourself. You may like a lot of fat or as little as possible, either way you don't get a choice. The same thing applies to a lot of different items. Meats, fruits, vegetables etc.

It is also a well known tactic to give items that are almost out of date to home and online shoppers.

The supermarkets know that people in the stores will not buy a loaf of bread that has a day to go before its sell by date runs out. What do they do with these loaves? Pass them on to the home and online shoppers as they can't see the sell by date.

As long as the sell by date has not passed, they are breaking no laws and there is not much anyone can do about it.

The end result is you, the customer, are stuck with two loaves of bread, fresh cream cakes and whatever else that you have to use up in one or two days!

The big supermarkets get rid of all their 'nearly out of date' items this way.

Again this applies to everything, not just bread.

Employing Red Rose to do your shopping for you may cost a little more, but you can rest assured you will get the best of everything.

We will pick perishable items with the longest possible sell by date.

We will pick fruits, vegetables, meats etc. to your specifications.

An added bonus is we can go to any store, not just the big supermarkets that offer home delivery services.

We can even go to two or three different stores. If you like the bulk of your groceries from Asda but you also want a few luxury items from Marks & Spencers - no problem!
